Stopped by The Retro Grill on Stony Island and grabbed the EL Plaga Burger—$17 well spent. That burger was stacked and juicy, cooked just right. The jerk fries had a nice kick, and the Oreo shake? Thick and creamy, just how I like it. Dropped about $30 total. Service was friendly, and the vibe was chill. Definitely a solid spot for a hearty meal on the South Side.

Positive side: Ample parking, clean establishment, dine in options, friendly staff, reasonable priced, and flavourful food (well seasoned - especially the wings!) Room for improvement: drying of the grease...it was non existent for this order. Grease was everywhere! Disappointed: outside of the heavy grease ...no where on the menu did it say the nacho burger came with vegan or turkey bacon; however, my sandwich had it...it threw the whole taste off Overall...would i recommend! The wings?! Yes Ma'am! If you are from the south...you will love the flavor!

This place is by far the best hidden gem in the area!! I ordered the jerk chicken Philly & funnel cake and wasn't in the least disappointed. The staff were so helpful and sweet and I can't wait to return so I can try something new! Oh yea & try the Boss Sauce for the fries

This cutely designed grill is very eye catching as you drive on Stony Island Ave in Chicago. The staff was friendly with all of the customers while I was there from the time I walked in the door This is a family owned restaurant with savory and delicious food. There were so many items that I wish I could try. This was my first time at this restaurant so I ordered the wings with the Boss Sauce on the side and the jerk fries. Everything was so yummy and perfectly seasoned. I will definitely go back. They have vegan options and a salmon burger that looks intoxicatingly delectable! You have to try them. I do not believe you can go wrong with anything you order. I also saw other customers getting shakes and a sundae

Great burger place, my burger was exceptional and the jerk fries were pretty good. Don't miss the wings and that no-Nanna pudding was simply amazing. The place was small but good for few people to sit and enjoy. The atmosphere was nice, clean music not to loud so you could enjoy conversation.

This was my first time at The Retro Grill and it did not disappoint! The food and service from Deonte was a 10/10. I highly recommend! I had the salmon philly and vegan nuggets (not pictured).

To-go order. Can’t comment on the inside of the building. Hand cut fries were bomb. The seasoning I asked for, couldn’t really taste but they were still good. Just tasted plain. The salmon burger was bomb as well. Kudos. And inhaled the food so fast so I don’t have pics but trust that it’s good.
